One of the first things, of many, that impressed Michael Shive, a Finch Drive duplex purchaser, was how environmentally friendly this community is.
“We were having dinner with our neighbours and they spoke very highly about Finch Drive,” says the 40-year-old Shive. “They had done a lot of research on Finch Drive’s Net Zero carbon-free options, such as solar panels and EV charging, and that really appealed to me.”
Before long, Shive purchased a Madden duplex. “The way the homes are staggered, the views are incredible from every duplex,” adds Shive. “I’m into mountain biking and I’m dreaming of when we move into our home and hit the trails, which are basically in our backyard.”
Following the successful launch of The Madden duplexes and Alexander townhomes, Diamond Head Development introduces The Levette condos.
Nestled at the foot of a forested hillside, The Levette is a five-storey wood-framed building featuring a collection of 41 one-, two- and three-bedroom condos powered by carbon-free energy.
“Our vision was to set out and create the most advanced environmentally friendly community in the Sea to Sky corridor,” says Jason Wood, President, of Diamond Head Development. “Homes at Finch Drive push the limits of the BC Step Code with some reaching Step Code 5, Net Zero Ready and meeting future energy-based building standards for 2032. Our homes are heated and cooled with either geothermal energy, electricity or optional air source heat pumps, which all produce zero emissions.”
Curated by Sarah Marie Interior Designs Inc., all of The Levette residences are showcased by wide plank wood laminate flooring with waterproof technology, gourmet kitchens with modern cabinetry, built-in dishwashers, and natural quartz countertops throughout the home.
“The Levette is a balanced design inspired by the bright sun reflecting off the snow-capped mountains and the lush, tranquil, refreshing forest surrounding the community,” says SarahMarie Lackey.
Designed by award-winning Stark Architecture, The Levette follows the vision of Finch Drive, powered by carbon-free energy by including electricity or air-sourced heat pumps for heating and cooling, with some units able to upgrade to Net Zero by adding solar panels.
“The location of The Levette, at the end of Raven Drive offers residents immediate access to multi-use trails connecting with the Valley Trails through Squamish, as well as the adjacent Squamish Legacy Park,” says Wood. “Evenings can be spent entertaining family and friends on the expansive patios boasting breathtaking views.”
As one of the fastest-growing communities in Canada, Squamish’s reputation as a world-class tourist destination has made this town a desirable place to live, work, and play for hundreds of people moving to the area. With an extensive network of hiking and mountain bike trails at your doorstep and access to Vancouver or Whistler in under one hour along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway – it doesn’t get much better than Finch Drive.
A leader in ethically sustainable builds over the last two decades, locally-owned Diamond Head Development has earned a reputation for being an eco-conscious developer.
At Finch Drive, you can live amongst nature and embrace a lifestyle ripe with opportunities. Connect with the community and build lasting memories in this idyllic environment where eco-green living and nature intertwine. In addition to The Levette sales launch, in Spring 2024, Finch Drive will be selling the remaining Madden duplexes, as well as opening the Finch Drive show home. The current Finch Drive sales centre is open by appointment only.
